About Me
I am a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor’s degree in Education. I began my career working with children and families in 2000 before moving to the medical field as a hospital Staff Social Worker.
Through my work in acute care, I gained experience across all domains of mental health, medicine, surgery, oncology and rehab.
I have over 20 years’ psychotherapeutic experience in supporting individuals through chronic/acute illnesses, situational crises and life events. My areas of expertise include: anxiety, stress management, addictions, trauma, coping with chronic or life-threatening illness, mental health wellness and more.
I offer supportive counselling, lifestyle coaching, case management and assistance with community resource engagement. My practice is very client centred and integrative, utilizing a variety of approaches based on what best suits the client (including CBT/DBT, emotionally-focused, narrative, solution-focused, systems and more).

Will my private health insurance cover psychotherapy?
Social Workers are covered by most private insurance plans though coverage amounts differ. Please check your coverage to be sure.

*Registered Social Workers are recognized by the Canadian Revenue Agency. As such, any session costs not covered by private insurance are tax deductible on your annual tax return under "medical expenses".
What is the Cancellation Policy?
I require 24 hours' notice in order to cancel or move appointments so that the time can be made available to others.
If you self-schedule your appointment, you will be able to make changes to your chosen appointment date/time on your own up until 24 hours before. If the change request is closer to the appointment set, you will need to contact me directly to discuss options.
How do I schedule an appointment?

How do I pay for sessions?
Payment is requested within 24 hours of each session. Subsequent sessions will not be booked without payment. If this is an issue for you, please contact me to discuss.Â
